The AERA Grants Program provides Research Grants to faculty at institutions of higher education, postdoctoral researchers, and other doctoral­level scholars. The program supports highly competitive studies using rigorous quantitative methods to examine large-scale, education-related data. Awards for Dissertation Grants are up to $25, for 1­year projects. The budget must include funds to attend the AERA Annual Meeting. The funds can be used for research-related expenses such as tuition, living expenses, travel to secure data enclaves or scholarly conferences, books, computer equipment, and other expenses directly related to conducting this research. Short-Term Research Publication Grants applicants must hold a Ph.D., Ed.D., D.B.A., M.F.A., J.D., M.D., D.M.D., D.V.M., D.S.W., or M.P.H. at the time of application. Tenured professors are not eligible. The grants are for tenure-track, part-time, and temporary faculty, as well as new and established researchers at universities.
